Gabriel Boudier adds some kick to its range with its new Ginger Liqueur

Categories : New Product Release

In Dijon, Gabriel Boudier continues to expand its range with a flavour that has become a staple of contemporary cocktails: ginger. Rather than offering a mild or simply aromatic interpretation, the Maison has chosen to highlight its full character. A fresh, expressive and spicy liqueur, with a real kick on the finish.

At the heart of this new recipe is the raw ingredient itself. The ginger is carefully selected and then distilled to capture its full aromatic richness while preserving what makes it so distinctive: its freshness, subtle citrus notes and, above all, its characteristic spicy sensation on the palate.

The result is a Ginger Liqueur at 20% ABV, designed to find its natural place behind the bar. It has enough intensity to stand out among the other ingredients in a cocktail, while retaining the balance and versatility that define Gabriel Boudier liqueurs.

Ginger as a new tool for creativity

This new release is part of a broader evolution in mixology, with liqueurs once again taking on a central role. No longer used simply as secondary or sweetening ingredients, they can now help build a cocktail around a specific flavour, add texture and give a drink a strong aromatic identity.

With its spicy profile, Gabriel Boudier Ginger Liqueur can be used in Sours, Highballs and signature creations, as well as to revisit classic cocktails.

To mark its launch, the Maison is showcasing the Penicillin Boudier, a twist on the modern classic. The recipe combines Ginger Liqueur with blended Scotch whisky, fresh lemon juice and honey. The ginger brings freshness, intensity and length, while the honey balances its spicy character. The result highlights the liqueur without overpowering the whisky.

Liqueur-making expertise dedicated to the bar

This new liqueur is rooted in Gabriel Boudier’s historic expertise. Since 1874, the Maison has carefully selected and worked with raw ingredients to express their flavour as precisely as possible.

Fruits, plants, spices and more unexpected ingredients all contribute to a portfolio developed with the needs of the bar in mind. This philosophy can also be found in the Maison’s Wizard Awards, where bartenders are invited to imagine flavours capable of making the transition from cocktail concept to a fully produced liqueur.

With this Ginger Liqueur, Gabriel Boudier adds a new tool to its creative range. An instantly recognisable flavour, a recipe designed for mixology and, above all, ginger with a real kick.
